Company
Adoc Talent Management is recruiting a Senior Deep Learning Scientist – Drug Discovery Applications (M/F) for its client. Our client is a startup revolutionizing in silico approaches in drug discovery by creating a digital twin of the cell, using a combination of breakthrough technologies at the crossroads of artificial intelligence, systems engineering, and single-cell multi-omics data analysis. Collaborating with leaders in the pharmaceutical sector and top academic laboratories in the field, and following a successful funding round, the company is now strengthening its team by hiring a Senior Deep Learning Scientist – Drug Discovery Applications (M/f).
Position
As a Senior Deep Learning Scientist – Drug Discovery Applications (M/F) with strong expertise in deep learning, systems biology, particularly in single-cell analysis, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the drug discovery programs.
Your primary focus will be on developing innovative computational methods for target identification, drug repurposing. You will actively contribute to building predictive models and knowledge graphs that bridge computational insights with practical applications in drug discovery.
You will lead a multidisciplinary AI team by mentoring scientists and engineers, defining clear project objectives, and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing across both computational and experimental fields.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced methods using deep learning and systems biology to identify novel drug targets. Additionally, you will create predictive models to discover new therapeutic uses for existing drugs by analyzing multi-omics and single-cell datasets. Your expertise will also support the development of patient stratification techniques by leveraging molecular and cellular profiles derived from single-cell analysis.
You will be expected to play a central role in constructing and managing knowledge graphs, utilizing ontologies to enhance data integration, interpretation, and validation, particularly with the application of large language models (LLMs).
Collaboration is key to this position: you will work closely with biologists, chemists, clinicians, and data scientists to apply computational findings effectively in practical and interdisciplinary settings.
Furthermore, you will stay at the forefront of advancements in computational biology, deep learning, and systems biology, continuously incorporating the latest innovations into your work. Communication will be an essential part of your role, as you will need to present complex data and concepts clearly to both scientific and non-scientific audiences, ensuring that insights are effectively shared across diverse teams. Your contributions will directly support strategic objectives and innovation in the drug discovery pipelines.
The position, which offers significant autonomy in its missions, is available immediately as a full-time permanent contract (CDI) in Paris. Remote work from another location within France or internationally is also possible.
Profile
You hold a PhD, initially oriented toward computer science, machine learning, or deep learning, and have developed advanced expertise in deep learning (LLMs, GNNs, Bayesian modeling), while acquiring a strong understanding of life sciences (omics data, systems biology). You have solid experience in designing and implementing AI models for drug discovery, as well as in analyzing multi-omic datasets and interpreting them using knowledge graphs and large language models (LLMs). Familiarity with cloud environments is considered a plus.
You are highly proficient in programming languages such as Python or R, and comfortable with state-of-the-art bioinformatics libraries. Your ability to integrate and analyze complex data, combined with experience working in interdisciplinary teams, highlights your strength in connecting computational insights with experimental research.
Proactive, agile, and committed, you are a driving force behind your projects. You are a confident communicator, able to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical profiles. Your strategic thinking, coupled with project management and team coordination experience, enables you to lead complex initiatives in biotech or pharmaceutical environments.
Fluent in English, you thrive in international and fast-paced environments. Your autonomy, practical mindset, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize make you a particularly well-suited candidate for the high-paced and evolving world of drug discovery innovation.
