The European “hardware” R&D centre (based in Leuven) develops next generation RF transceivers, supporting 4G (LTE) and 5G protocols. They are currently looking for a Senior Antenna Design Engineer (AIP, AOB) to design microwave and mm-wave antennas for radar and communications applications, in collaboration with RF/Analog/system experts.
You will be responsible to:
You hold a Msc degree (a PhD is an asset) in Electronics (specialized in Electromagnetics, antennas, mm-wave designs) with a strong background in EM theory, antennas, transmission lines, matching techniques, antenna beamforming, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in industry in the design of microwave or mm-wave designs. An experience in the design of phased array antennas is an added-value.
You demonstrate a hands-on experience in antenna integration in PCB and IC package. You are an expert in EM simulations (e.g. Ansys HFSS) and have an experience with PCB layout tools. You are also familiar with lab equipment (network and spectrum analyzers), antenna measurement techniques and probestation.
You like and conduct a permanent technological watch to stay on the top of the state of art. Eager to learn, able to work and communicate in an international environment, you are a nice teamplayer.
