For one of Europe's most innovative glass R&D Centres, we are currently seeking a talented Team Leader Automotive Coatings to join their Automotive Functional Solutions team. As a key player in the development of cutting-edge Automotive products for OEM markets, you'll be at the forefront of innovation.

Your role will encompass three essential pillars:

  • General Project Management Competences
  • Company "Core Business" Technical Knowledge (e.g., naked glass, enamels, coatings, lamination)
  • Specific Technical Skills in Emerging Market Trends (e.g., switchable technologies, solar PV technologies, lighting techniques)


Your Mission:

As a leader within this team, your responsibilities will span team management, the development of new PVD coatings on glass for automotive applications, and overall project management.


Specific tasks will include:

  • Managing a team of researchers (results follow-up, coaching, new project generation)
  • Defining and validating new PVD coatings for automotive applications (e.g., durability)
  • Industrializing and optimizing these coatings for profitability
  • Supporting promotional activities surrounding these innovations


Your Talents:

  • Engineering or PhD degree in material science, mechanics, electricity, physics, or chemistry
  • 5 to 15 years of experience
  • Proficient in thin coating deposition by PVD
  • Ability to autonomously develop, test, and propose new concepts
  • Strong project and team management skills
  • Effective communication in multicultural environments
  • Multi-tasker with the ability to meet deadlines and manage diverse projects
  • Logical yet creative and entrepreneurial with an agile spirit
  • Eager for continuous learning and growth
