For one of Europe's most innovative glass R&D Centres, we are currently seeking a talented plastic Injection Expert to join the Process Solutions Team. This team, comprising approximately 40 passionate individuals, is dedicated to developing glass product applications such as windshields, rear windows, and sunroofs, all in connection with autonomous driving and advanced driver assistance systems. The team is structured into three departments, covering project management, prototyping, and product validation.

Your Mission:

Your mission will include the management of research and innovation activities working on miscellaneous projects as

  • Prototypes of new (differentiating) products (from ideation to pre-industrialization)
  • Development and validation of new (Glass-)Plastic injection moulding parts for customer needs (in the automotive sector)
  • Test new material grades to increase the content of the database with material characterizations.
  • Support for serial industrialization.
  • Management of projects involving injected components (brackets, light guides)
  • Development and validation of new encapsulated products (e.g. Blade HUD, Lamination)

Your Scientific Skills:

You hold a degree in Mechanical or Material Sciences engineering, with knowledge and a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in plastic injection process, over-moulding, ThermoPlastics and ThermoPlastic Elastomers properties). Experience in the automotive field is a plus. Experience in Glass encapsulation is an advantage.
